"I Won't Change You" was Sophie Ellis Bextor's second and final single released from her second album, Shoot from the Hip.
The single didn't do as well as "Mixed Up World", but still managed to make it to No. 9 in the UK charts. The song was also released at the same time as Victoria Beckham's single "This Groove"/"Let Your Head Go" and caused a media frenzy for the second time, after Sophie's success with Spiller in 2000, when she beat Victoria to the No. 1 spot with "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)". The music video was directed by Trudy Bellinger.
