"I Wasn't The One (Who Said Good-Bye)" was the second single from Agnetha's third English-language album I Stand Alone.

The song was a duet with producer Peter Cetera. Agnetha and Peter also recorded a Spanish language version "Yo No Fui (Quien Dijo Adios)" for the South American market that was included in the South American editions of "I Stand Alone" and released on the 12-inch single.

The song peaked at No.93 on Billboard Hot 100 and hit the same spot in Canada on RPM Top 100 singles chart. It became a sizeable Adult Contemporary hit peaking at No.19 on Billboard AC chart and at No, 21 on RPM AC chart in Canada. Fältskog didn't do any promotion for the song in North America, while the video shot in Stockholm didn't feature Cetera, which might explain relatively low chart placing on Billboard Hot 100 and RPM Top 100 singles chart.
