"I Wanna Be Your Dog" is a song by The Stooges, featured on their self-titled debut album. Its main riff, which goes on through the whole song, is very memorable, being composed of only three notes (G,F#,E). The song is 3:09 minutes long, and is a good example of Iggy Pop being the "Godfather of Punk". Frequently covered by other acts, including a memorable 1988 Chicago live performance by Sonic Youth and an album version courtesy of Uncle Tupelo.
