I Ching hexagram 63, depicted |:|:|: is named 既濟 (ji4 ji4), Already Fording. Other translations: R. Wilhelm/C. Baynes, After Completion; E. Shaughnessy (Mawangdui), Already Completed.

• Inner (lower) trigram is ☲ (|:| 離 li2) Radiance = (火) fire
• Outer (upper) trigram is ☵ (:|: 坎 kan3) Gorge = (水) water
• The trigrams can be read bottom to top as "With guidance (fire in lower) comes control (water in upper)"

The following material is drawn from analysis of the binary sequence of the hexagrams where the hexagrams are derived from recursion of yin/yang and so showing a property of the method - the hexagrams are all linked together and contribute to the expression of, the description of, each hexagram.

• The skeletal form of hexagram 63 is described by analogy to the under-exaggerated properties of hexagram 53 where we have a generic focus on maturing.

This hexagram, tattoed in red on the right forearm, is the symbol for Storm Shadow's Arashikage ninja clan in G.I. Joe continuity. The Head of the Arashikage Clan is Snake-Eyes. He became the Silent Master after the murder of the Hard Master.

This hexagram is also used on the cover of Chris Ward (aka mc chris)'s 2003 album, Knowing is Half the Hassle.
