I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing is Lea's worst selling album to date. This album was released three years after her multi-platinum selling album, Lea Salonga. It earned mixed reviews from critics. The album was a mixture of old hits and new ones. The record label only let Lea release one single the Top ten hit, "Top of the World." The album only went Gold and sold slowly taking 6 months to do so.
