Hyperwind is an artname of russian musician who comes from St. Petersburg, "second capital" of Russian Federation. Although music is likely to be not more than his hobby, some of his works show a profound comprehension of musical spirit & mood.
Hyperwind published his first electronic ambient album Quichelah published here in 2001, making it available for his closest friends, who expressed their temperate approval of it.
For 2 years, he lived, worked, got older and searched for a new expression of ambient mood, a musical construction where sound timbre expresses explicitly a unity of time, place and subject, but those are depending on one who listens to it. The methods of sound synthesis that could allow to bring idea to life was invented by him in 2003. That year's hot summer witnesses the birth of Protected Mystery published here, second album surely filled with a new concept. Ambient is vivid although deep & introvertive by nature. A distinctive feature of a new concept is easily derived from sound: the very deepest sound layers are not the darkest ones, thus Hyperwind proved that deep feelings and true power of "slow sound" may not lie in the dark, therefore dwelling in the shadows' domain.
But time goes forth and life often scars souls. Warm but uneasy spring of 2004 heralds the coming of Blue Phoenix published here, the album known by it's frozen, cold & spatial sound bearing very serious moods. Tracks are very expressive and harsh but are absolutely NOT noise-shaped, more likely truly melodic.
2005 is a year for Hyperwind to turn to "fast" trance style that is a huge part of his record library since 1998. 5 singles are written and 2 of them are 150 BPM published here
His works are all-sufficient, never published by record labels as hard copies. Nevertheless, world wide web witnesses many people finding an echo to their moods in his music, published online.
Beyond music, Hyperwind is author of few expressive novels in russian language published here and a collection of graphical fractal works published here .
