Hypnotize Minds
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hypnotize Minds is a record label (whose original name was Prophet Entertainment) started by Three 6 Mafia.
This record label consists of an extended collective of rappers around in-house producers Juicy J and DJ Paul. Its central group is Memphis rap act Three 6 Mafia and which features DJ Paul, Juicy J, DJ Paul's brother Lord Infamous (currently imprisoned), and is rumored Project Pat. Former Three 6 Mafia members include (Gangsta Boo, Koopsta Knicca), and Crunchy Black. The rap collective includes Juicy J's brother Project Pat, Lil Wyte, Frayser Boy, Boogie Mane, Chrome and Grandaddy Souf. The group being heavily involved in Three 6 Mafia productions has lead to its starting off the career of many rappers. The family has had several falling outs with other rappers from the Memphis area, mostly over financial reasons. They have released albums under the names Prophet Posse, Hypnotize Camp Posse, Tear da Club Up Thugs and Da Headbussaz, and are heavily featured on Three 6 Mafia projects.

[edit] Mission Statement
Hypnotize Camp Posse member (and brother of Juicy J) Project Pat was very forward about the label's intentions in an interview with Murder Dog:
Let me explain something to you. Memphis, us, Hypnotize Minds - we're not in this for the hip-hop. No way. We're not hip-hop rap. We're into the reality shit, trying to make the money shit. It ain't even about the rap; it's about the cheese. If the cheese don't flow, we lay the pens and papers down. And the drum machines will go in the car. If it ain't about no money, we don't even want to hear nothing about it. That's just being real. A lot of folks tell me I'm a rapper, but I feel that I'm not. But if that's what they want to make me, I'm for the people. It's cool. But Hypnotize Minds is not a company of rap, even though that's our business.
