Hyo Imawano (忌野 雹 Imawano Hyo?) is a character from the Rival Schools video game series. As of Project Justice, he is a second year student at Justice High School, and is the top student at the school.
Hyo also is the mastermind behind the events of Rival Schools: United By Fate and is the second, 'true' boss of that game, as well as the boss of Project Justice. He is the older twin brother of Kyosuke Kagami, nephew to Raizo Imawano and cousin to Raizo's son, Batsu Ichimonji.

[edit] History
[edit] Early life
The elder of Mugen Imawano's twin sons, Hyo lived a relatively tranquil childhood with his twin brother, Kyosuke. However, at some point, Mugen separated the boys and took Hyo under his wing and began teaching the boy the ways of their ninja clan. This training included lessons that the world was harsh, that friendships were worthless and that the only way to cleanse society was through force. These lessons heavily influenced the young ninja, even beyond the end of his training and the death of his father.
[edit] Rival Schools
After Mugen died, Hyo enrolled at Justice High School, the academy run by his uncle, Raizo Imawano. Hyo quickly established himself as the top student of the school, and became the school's student president. While Raizo thought Hyo would be perfect to succeed him as head of Justice High School and continue the school's goal or reforming the world, Hyo (still influenced by his father's lessons) believed that the only way to fix the world was through force and coercion.
Hyo would be the one that formulated the plan to increase Justice's influence through kidnapping and brainwashing, and gained support from Raizo, as well as his estranged brother Kyosuke (now a student at Taiyo High School). Initially, the plan succeeded wildly. Hyo even brainwashed his own uncle when Raizo brought up objections about the plan. However, Hyo soon found that his brainwashing was failing in the face of the very things he tried to eliminate, friendship and love. Eventually, Hyo himself faced down students from Taiyo High, including his brother Kyosuke and long-lost cousin Batsu, and was defeated. However, the defeat allowed Kyosuke to reach out to Hyo and convince him that the world could be changed through friendship, not in spite of it.
[edit] Project Justice
Over the next year, Hyo helped repair Justice High's relationships with the other schools and spearheaded alliances between the schools. However, they soon found their peace under threat again. Kurow Kirishima, an assassin sent to kill the Imawano family posing as a Justice High student, attacked both Raizo and Hyo. Kirishima also brainwashed Hyo to be his servant. In actuality, the brainwashing had no effect, but Hyo simply pretended to be brainwashed to keep Kurow's guard down. When Kurow called upon Hyo to help him, Hyo dropped the guise and instead defeated the would-be assassin easily. However, the fight ended up bringing back the spirit of Mugen, his father, who possessed Hyo in an attempt to come back to life. Knowing he could not stop his father himself, Hyo pleaded to Kyosuke and his friends to defeat him. They did, but the fight managed to apparently kill Hyo, much to the sadness of Kyosuke.

- The Hyo possessed by his father appears in Project Justice as Demon Hyo, and is the last boss of that game.
