Hyūga (日向市; -shi) is a city located in Miyazaki, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 59,098 and the density of 503.26 persons per km². The total area is 117.43 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1951.

Hyūga City is known for the production of luxury go stones and for a very fine surfing beach nearby.
