Huw Waters
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Huw Waters (born September 26, 1986 in Cardiff) is a Welsh cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler who plays for Glamorgan.
He started playing for Glamorgan in 2005 and was named in England's tour of Bangladesh, but had to withdraw his place because of an injury to his wrist. He has since been able to return to the squad thanks to the subsequent withdrawal of Richard Jones from the team.
He attended Monmouth School in South Wales for his A level studies, and was ever-present in the school 1st XI cricket team. As an enthusiastic member of the squad, he never failed to impart his expert knowledge to the younger boys on the art of swing-bowling, batting, and life in general. On away trips, Huw could be found sitting on the bus (usually about two rows from the back) listening to his iPod, leaving the banter to others as he planned his next innings and wicket haul thoughtfully in his mind, to the soundtrack of Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me."
