Hutchinson High School is located in Hutchinson, Kansas in Southcentral Kansas. The enrollment for 2006-2007 is approximately 1,400 students. The current principal is Ron Roehm, and the assistant principals are David T. Patterson, David L. Patterson, and Sheri Hart.

Hutchinson High School is known for their athletic performances. The Salthawks are back-to-back-to-back 6A state champions in football. Having won the state championship in 2004, 2005, 2006 and state runners up in 2003. The Salthawk basketball teams have won boys championships in 2001, 1975, and 1974, and girls championships in 1985 and 1976. The Salthawk boys golf team have won state championships in 2005, and 1995. The Salthawks Wrestling team has won state titles in 1973, 1982, 2002 and 2003, making it the most succesfull sport in Hutchinson High School history.
