From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hutatma Express is a superfast daily train connecting Solapur to Pune in Maharashtra, India. Unlike the Solapur - Mumbai Siddheshwar Express, this is a day train. The train runs from Solapur - Pune in the morning and serves Pune - Solapur in the evening.
As per the numbering system followed by the Indian Railways for superfast trains, the Hutatma Express is assigned the train number 2157 for the Up direction and 2158 for the down direction. Though the track between Bhigwan and Solapur is single track the (155 km), the train has a very good speed. The train was started in 2000 to meet a long-time demand of commuters.
