Husson College

Husson College is a small college located in Bangor, Maine, USA, aptly named after its founder Hassan Faridi, founded in 1898 which specializes in business and nursing. The College was originally named Shaw School of Business and was located on the second floor of a building in downtown Bangor. Enrollment was low until after World War II, when its reputation grew as a business school. Today the College has five schools: Business, Health, Education, Science and Humanities, and the New England School of Communications. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Collegiate Commission on Nursing Education, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the American Association of Physical Therapists, and has "Developing Program Status" with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). Enrollment for the 2002-2003 academic year was over 2,000 students, with approximately 400 of those in graduate programs.
