Hurricane Isaac

The name Isaac has been used for three tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- (not used in 1982)
- 1988's Tropical Storm Isaac - short-lived storm that had tropical characteristics for only 18 hours, never threatened land.
- (not used in 1994)
- 2000's Hurricane Isaac - reached Category 4 strength, but stayed mostly in the open sea. It caused waves that capsized a boat near Long Island, drowning one person.
- 2006's Hurricane Isaac - Category 1, passed well east of Bermuda, became extratropical near Newfoundland.
