Talk:Hunted (Ben 10 episode)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't believe all that text is really necessary. A short summary is fine, but you don't want to give away the whole episode. Let readers see the episode for themselves. (I hadn't even heard of the show before and now I probably know more about it than those who watch it, sheesh!) — Indi [ talk ] 20:55, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- There's an episode summary page. You were supposed to go there first and then decide if you wanted to read the recap. - Someguy0830 21:23, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- I kindly refer you to Wikipedia's page on Notability for fiction:
- It is often informative to include plot summaries (and other spoilers) in articles on works of fiction. However, please keep them reasonably short, as the point of Wikipedia is to describe the works, not simply summarize them. It is generally appropriate for a plot summary to remain part of the main article, not a lengthy page of its own. Please see the Making good use of Wikibooks and Wikisource section below for guidance and examples.
- If there is already a suitable summary on a different page, then please leave it at that, something as large as this page simply takes up space, especially when a short summary already exists. — Indi [ talk ] 00:21, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Hm. Learn something new everyday. In that case, I could probably condense this onto the summaries page. I'm not sure of the exact process for recommeding this for deletion. Probably should get rid of the other four recaps as well. - Someguy0830 00:29, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- As soon as you save your work, you could request deletion of the page(s) either by blanking it or inserting a {{db-reason|reason}} tag into the head of the page, where "reason" is replaced by something like "Merging with List of Ben 10 episodes, please delete." Since you're the author you're allowed to do stuff like that...I think. Either that or AfD. I'm not sure to tell you the truth. — Indi [ talk ] 00:59, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, that's done now. Now all that remains is for it to be deleted. - Someguy0830 01:20, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, apparently they don't mind. Delete request was removed. Put summaries in front of the recaps as a buffer. - Someguy0830 05:28, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well that's good. At least wikify the body of the page, though. And please leave the title as "Hunted" since this follows Wikipedia's naming style. Since there is no other article named "Hunted" at this time, "Hunted" is a more appropriate name. Or at least leave it as "Hunted (Ben 10 episode)". (e.g. Some Enchanted Evening (Simpsons episode)) — Indi [ talk ] 20:04, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

- I actually wrote the ones on TV.com, and they were put there after they were added here, but rewriting them won't be difficult. - Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs)
- Oh, really? Is there any way you can show that? Then you wouldn't have to bother rewriting it... although, I think a more concise plot summary would be more beneficial to Wikipedia's readers. Thanks! ~MDD4696 02:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to show it directly without having access to TV.com's specific logs. The best I could show is that I've submitted recaps to the specific episode. It doesn't really matter, though. I can alter the wording to the point that it's different from the original. - Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 05:34, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- And now it's been changed. - Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 22:55, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
