The Huntsville Havoc are a professional ice hockey team. The franchise is a member of the Southern Professional Hockey League. They play their home games at the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The team began play in the 2004-05 season, following the defunct Huntsville Channel Cats. The team has made the postseason in each of its two seasons of existence, losing a one-game playoff to the Jacksonville Barracudas in 2005 and being defeated two games to none by the Florida Seals in the second round of playoffs in 2006 after knocking off the defending champion Columbus Cottonmouths in three games in the opening round.
