Blade Storm: Hundred Years War will be Koei's and Omega Force's first video game for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. It is based on the famous Hundred Years' War and will play fairly similar to the Dynasty Warriors series. The game was first going to be exclusive for Sony's Playstation 3, but later it came to light that it was going to be released for Microsoft's newest console as well.

Koei has said that the game can show up to 65,000 characters on screen at once.

The player is placed as a military commander in various battles during the Hundred Years' War. According to the official web site, the game offers a "free mission system" in which you can choose between the French or English army. Also Koei announces a subtle algorithm where companion units interconnect as "army corps".

A brief look at the game reveals similarities to the Kessen series where a player may actively control one unit at a time.
