[edit] TfD nomination of Template:Human Sexuality
Template:Human Sexuality has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Atom 13:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC) This template is either redundant or expresses some ideas which are not correct or appropriate. There are often countless studies done on one aspect of human sexuality, so the statement that "thus some information may not be independently verifiable" is nonsense. If there is information in an article that isn't verifiable, it should be gone. Personal opinion should also be gone. If there are theories, etc. that are not "provable", but they are verifiable, then the theories should be listed as such, if not on the article, but on a more appropriate page.
The statement seems also to subvert NPOV by attempting to assert that any studies made on sexuality aren't "correct (or ... incorrect)"; this takes a point of view, and it should be up to the reader to make up their minds if they are critically assessing these subjects.
Wikipedia articles need to follow Wikipedia policy. If they do not, they should be made to conform to Wikipedia policy. We do not need vague "disclaimers" on every page that has a link to sexuality. Dysprosia 11:16, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm really really tempted to rip this off every page. It's huge, it's ugly, it says nothing needing. saying. And as Dysprosia says, if it's not verifiable, it needs to be gone.--Prosfilaes 12:58, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Dysprosia and Prosfilaes. The things the template says are either true of any number of subjects, or redundant with our general disclaimer. --Allen 13:16, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Again this person has added templates to a variety of pages without discussion first. Please stop it. Atom 13:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
