Hummel (instrument)

The hummel is a stringed musical instrument that was developed in Sweden. It is related to the zither, and is commonly used in Swedish folk music.

The hummel has several strings—typically around ten—along a fretted fingerboard. The fingerboard is mounted on the soundbox, which is long and thin widening to a pear shape at one end.
