huH was a popular music magazine in the United States during the 1990s.
It was published by Ray Gun Publishing, Inc. based in Santa Monica, California and owned by Time Warner. It was launched in 1994 as a new business venture concept in a mixed music sample marketing/publishing format.
Initially, the magazine included sampler CDs released on a monthly basis by genre while reviews were contained within the magazine. The format then changed to a numbered sequence with all sample songs on one CD per month.
The magazine also included a letters section with a mostly youth audience, news briefs, and cartoons. Its large, almost square design distinguished it among other publications.
huH stopped circulating in the late 1990s. Sampler CDs are now available mostly through retail websites or secondhand stores.
