Hugo Leal

Hugo Leal is a Portuguese soccer player who currently plays for SC Braga in the Portuguese SuperLiga. He was born on May 21, 1980 in Cascais, Portugal. He is a fast and aggressive player in the CAM position where he is known to score goals from 35–40 meters away with no problems. He is also reliable at set-Pieces and dead ball situations.

He started his career in the 96/97 season at SL Benfica as a youth. He then moved to the La Liga to play for Atlético Madrid in the 98–01 seasons where he was a moderate player. He then moved to the Ligue 1 with French and European giants Paris Saint Germain in Paris. Here he established himself as a player. He then signed to FC Porto in Porto were he was very successful. He later on moved to the Académica de Coimbra in the 04/05 season and in the 05/06 season he signed for SC Braga in Portugal.

His only game for the National Team was at 19 February 1999, in a 0-0 draw with Holland, in Paris. He was 18 years old then.
