Hugh Wolff

Hugh Wolff (born 21 October 1953 in Paris) is an American conductor. He was assistant conductor at the National Symphony Orchestra during the tenure of Mstislav Rostropovich. His first music directorship was with the orchestra of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA.

From 1988-1992, Wolff was Principal Conductor of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and its Music Director from 1992-2000. He served as Principal Conductor of the hr Symphony Orchestra (also known as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra) from 1997-2006.
