Hugh Paddick

Hugh Paddick (Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire August 22, 1915 – November 11, 2000 in London), was an English actor, who appeared in the 1960s BBC radio show Round the Horne in sketches such as Charles and Fiona (as Charles) and Julian and Sandy (as Julian). Both he and Kenneth Williams are largely responsible for introducing the underground language polari to the UK general public.
He lived for over thirty years with his male partner Francis, whom he met at a party in London. He is distantly related to British police commander Brian Paddick.
