Hugh Iorys Hughes (born Bangor; died 1977[1]) was a civil engineer who designed the Mulberry harbours used in Operation Overlord.

Hugh Iorys Hughes, a quiet North Walian, devised from initial plans and built a prototype for the Mulberry Harbours in his home town of Conwy, Anglesey at Conwy Morfa [2]
