From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This picture of the Hubbard Glacier was stitched together from 4 photos and hence mismatched exposure levels in various segments. It was taken from a cruise ship inside Disenchantment Bay, Alaska in late July 2005. The center of the picture points towards the northeast direction. A tender boat from the cruise ship went between the ship and the ice cliff. The boat provides some sense of scale to the size of the glacier, yet it does not do justice because it was still very far from the cliff.
