Talk:Huazhong University of Science and Technology

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As I recall, the school's English was HUST ever since it was established. The Chinese name was changed to reflect 'university' in the 80s, and then again in 90s to sooth the merge. I didn't change the page because I am not sure. Someone should check it up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dayeliu (talkcontribs) 06:44, 19 March 2006 (UTC).

The university was known in English as the Huazhong Institute of Technology from its founding in 1953 until 1988, when it was renamed to the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. For the English version of HUST's history, see the school's website at http://www.hust.edu.cn/english/about/history/default.htm. —MementoVivere (talk contribs) 03:43, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
