Hans Peter Zimmer (October 23, 1936 in Berlin - September 5, 1992 in Soltau) was a German painter and sculptor.

He was co-founder of the artistic group SPUR and the group Geflecht (founded 1966).

He completed studies in Hamburg and München. In 1982, he began work as a professor for painting at the HBK Braunschweig.
