Howard Mudd

Howard Mudd (born 10 Feb 1942, Midland, Michigan) is a former American Football offensive lineman who played seven seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears from 1964 to 1970 in the National Football League. Mudd was a three time Pro Bowler in 1966, 1967 and 1968. He retired in 1971 due to a knee injury. He graduated from Hillsdale College in 1963.
Mudd has been an offensive line coach for various NFL teams since 1974, and has been the offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts since 1998. His 33-year tenure as an assistant coach in the NFL is second only to that of Dick Hoak of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
