How Turtle Got His Name is the pilot of the Saturday-moring sitcom Fudge. It is based on the novel Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.

[edit] Synopsis

Peter gets a pet turtle. One of dad's important clients is invited to dinner. The client's products (Juicy-O) are served, including turtle soup. Afterward, Fudge swallows Peter's turtle. Fudge stays in the hospital for a few days, and when he returns gets lots of presents. But Peter is given a dog, which he names Turtle.
