It's the party of the year for the game of the year and you're the host. You decide if it's time for your Sims to hoedown at a country barn dance, chow down at a tropical luau, or go underground at a rave. Will your party be a smash or a snore? House Party is your invitation to rock your Sims' house!

- Rock the house with five new music and dance styles.

- Mechanical bull: Hold on tight and test your rodeo skills.
- Costume trunk: Pick your outfit from togas to hula skirts.
- Dance cage: Jump in and show off your moves.

- Bubble maker: Join in the soothing activity of blowing bubbles.

- Players who throw particularly large parties may be surprised to find Drew Carey arrive in his limousine.
- When a Sim with six or more Charisma points tells a story around the bonfire during a party, a headless ghost may appear to frighten the listeners.
- If a party flops badly enough, a mime may appear to lighten the mood. While he can help to cheer the crowd up, he's also been known to steal items from the house.
- If the player hires a caterer for a party, the caterer can sometimes be found admiring the clothing in the new Costume Trunk (if one is present in the house).
