Housecalls, or house-calls, or house calls, are an act of customer service. It is when the suplier goes to the cunsumer's home instead of the, by far more common, vice-versa. They are most often associated with doctoral housecalls, common in the 1800's and present-day Massachusetts. It is not to be confused with travelling salesmen.
