House of Love was the third major label single (and fifth single) to be released by dance music singer and drag queen RuPaul. Technically it was released as the b-side to her dual-titled first single Supermodel (You Better Work), though not all versions of that single were dual.
The single was released in various formats, though the most common was a UK CD single. The song itself is typical of early 90's house music; the theme of the song expounds on RuPaul's early persona of the "drag queen with a heart of gold". It is an anthem about welcoming all different types of people into your heart.
The song did not chart like the previous two singles, and many suspected that it marked the end of RuPaul's music career, but her next single A Shade Shady (Now Prance) made it to #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts.
