[edit] Band History
The band got started in 2002, when the three original members reformed their old punk band (then known as No Tagbacks) into a new Christian one. They released their first album, What You Want Is Now, in 2003.
In 2005, Toby McKeehan signed them to Gotee Records, and the band released their self-titled album shortly after that. Also in 2005, the band was able to tour with other Christian rock bands, such as Relient K and MxPx. The band re-released their self-titled album on Mono Vs Stereo in 2006, with the title Say No More, and two bonus tracks ("The Invisible Hook," and "You Are the Judas of the Cheerleading Squad"). They are currently writing songs for their third full-length album. Their lineup is currently Tim Skipper on guitar and lead vocals, Colin Rigsby on drums and backing vocals, and Jared Rigsby on bass and backing vocals.
Jared Rigsby replaced A.J. Babcock as the band's bassist in 2006, as Babcock was tired of being on the road. As of September 2006, Babcock was still a member of the band, and had played as a backing guitarist at some recent concerts. Babcock was also the primary songwriter. Jared Rigsby was just the touring bassist, and Babcock still played on the band's records. In October 2006, however, Babcock announced that he would be leaving the band. He is now engaged, and has a smaller music project, and Jared Rigsby is now the band's full-time bassist.
In addition to their own original songs, House of Heroes has also recorded a cover of "Day By Day," by legendary Christian rock/pop group dc Talk, which appears on the compilation album Freaked! A Gotee Tribute to dc Talk's "Jesus Freak."
