Hot Rize

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hot Rize is a bluegrass music band composed of Tim O'Brien (mandolin, fiddle), Pete Wernick (banjo), Charles Sawtelle (guitar), and Nick Forster (electric bass). In 1999, Charles Sawtelle died and 3 years later Forster and O'Brien brought in Bryan Sutton on the guitar to reform the band. They rose to prominence in the early 1980s, appeared on national radio and TV shows, toured most of the US, Japan, Europe and Australia. An entertaining part of their show was to all swap instruments and dress up as an imaginary Western country swing band called Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers.
