Talk:Hostage Rescue Team

Why are they "not held in high regard by the American law enforcement community?" Is this because of normal Federal vs. Local bureaucratic turf wars? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by N328KF (talk • contribs) .
- Possibly. But remember they “‘rescued’ a nursing mother by shooting her in the face, and ‘rescued’ 86 men, women, and children by gassing, shooting, and burning them alive.’[1] It's one of those government things whose purpose is the exact opposite of its name, like Dep't of Defense. - Lol, what a joke. Anyone who has been in Law Enforcement, more specifically on a SWAT team, for any amount of time will tell you that the HRT is the best trained civilian team in the world. They are very highly regarded by many in law enforcement, including local, state and federal officers. Clearly, the person above is a right-wing extremist who believes everything is a government conspiracy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 204.249.77.141 (talk • contribs) .

I'm actually a avid reader in Counter-Terrorism, Military History, Global Conflicts, and etc etc. I'll be trying to add some major changes for this article soon. (Nov. 29, 2005) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eugenius (talk • contribs) .
- HRT as part of the FBI only select from agents therefore the raw material is amoung the best as my commander tought me "the cream rises to the top" buy the way do you seriously think any human would shoot a nursing mother theres a lot of anti-goverment propeganda which is out and out Bull —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.1.224.12 (talk • contribs) .
Intentionally or unintentionally, Mrs. Weaver was indeed shot by an FBI agent. JG 10:02, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
