I've never seen any episodes of the last season, 'cause they're hardly ever rerun but I had always heard that Hoss merely disappeared without explanation after Dan Blocker died and Hoss was never specifically mentioned as having been killed. --Harlequin212121 21:50, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

It is stated in the synopsis for "Forever", the season 14 premier. This episode was originally written for Hoss, but Dan Blocker passed away. Anyway, in dialogue between Ben and Little Joe, they both express their sadness in the fact that Hoss is gone forever (thus the title), killed in a gun battle. ~Babygator23~ 00:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
