Taiwan has established an international reputation for the quality and comprehensiveness of its medical services. The international community is gradually coming to realize just how much Taiwan has achieved in this regard. In an international comparison of the standard of health care, Taiwan ranked second in the world, a truly impressive performance. The Department of Health of Taiwan published the “Hospital Care in Taiwan” to provide Taiwan's friends overseas and foreign nationals living in Taiwan with a user-friendly introduction to Taiwan's medical system and its achievements, thereby helping to enhance the international visibility of Taiwanese hospitals, create more opportunities for international exchange and collaboration, and improve the international image of Taiwan's medical and healthcare services.
