Horwich Parkway railway station is a railway station serving the park and ride scheme for the town of Horwich and the western area of Bolton. It is also the principal stop for the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers F.C. The town centre of Horwich is in fact much closer to Blackrod, the next station on the line, although it doesn't have any parking facilities.
Horwich Parkway is on the commuter line from Manchester to Preston, with services from Northern Rail and First TransPennine Express. The station was opened on July 2nd 1999.
