Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry is the main fictional character in a popular series of children's books by Francesca Simon.

By December, 2006, Horrid Henry had terrorised his parents, teachers, friends, neighbours and even the Queen in seventeen books, most of which had also been released as hugely popular audio books read by actress Miranda Richardson. As of November, 2006, more than six million Horrid Henry books and audio books in twenty languages had been sold worldwide. In May 2006 the Children's ITV Channel announced that an animated TV series based on the Horrid Henry books had been commissioned from Novel Entertainment (see also Fimbles and The Roly Mo Show). This has now started on ITV at 4.00 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and on CITV Saturday morning at 9:40.

Horrid Henry is a troublemaker, bully and prankster since day one. He enjoys tourmenting his younger brother Peter and loves being noisy and reckless. Most of the time, however, he gets his comuppance; brought down by his own actions or getting caught red handed.His room is a total mess.

Peter is Henry's younger brother. As his name suggests, he's the complete opposite of Henry - kind, helpful and ever so polite. However, this just encourages Henry to tease and bully him for every waking minute; and because of this, poor Peter is often the butt of Henry's jokes. Perfect Peter always says "Please" and "Thank you". Peter hates sweets and chocolate and loves vegetables.

Great Aunt Gretta is Henry's Aunt. She often mistakes Henry being a girl called Henreita and Peter being a teenager. Usally Henry will get a Burply sulpy doll, princess poopie pants or even pink frilly girl pants while peter might get £10.

Lazy Linda is mostly very lazy, as her title shows. She once joined Moody Margaret's club when Margaret threw Susan out, but Margaret tired of her laziness.

Moody Margaret is the number 1 enemy of Horrid Henry. She's a bossy, mean, selfish girl version of henry

He's very anxious all the time and is like Weepy William but doesn't cry.
