Hopkins Architects (formerly Michael Hopkins and Partners)established in 1976, is a prominent British architectural firm. Its designers have earned numerous awards for their work, with Michael and Patty Hopkins, his wife and partner in the firm, winning the Royal Institute of British Architects Royal Gold Medal and Michael receiving the Commander of theOrder of the British Empire in 1995. The practice is known for its innovative approach to construction and its energy-efficient designs. The Evelina Children's Hospital was shortlisted for the 2006 Stirling Prize
