Hoof 'n' Horn is a student-run musical theater production group at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. It is the second-oldest student-run group in the nation, with its first production in 1936 and productions continuing up to today to include three large-scale shows every academic year.

Hoof 'n' Horn's first show, The Devil Grins, happened in 1936. It was a student-written musical, a relatively small-scale endeavor yet nonetheless garnering enough attention that several years later a similar project was attempted. Since 1941, Hoof 'n' Horn has produced at least one show per year. Beginning in 1952 with Anything Goes, the students began acquiring licenses to use shows that had been performed on Broadway. By the 1970's, Duke University recognized Hoof 'n' Horn's growing presence on campus and provided the group with their own rehearsal and performance space in the basement of the Flowers Building, which came to be known as Phred. Today, Hoof 'n' Horn's rehearsal space is located in the basement of the Bivins Building on Duke's East Campus - it has been named PhredE.

Currently the organization is governed by an Executive Council which regulates the organization's finances, selection of shows and producers, and the year-round business of a theater company. Hoof 'n' Horn works in tandem with Duke University, but all of the planning, production work, and performing is completed by students alone. This includes three major productions each year, two of which are performed in the Sheafer Laboratory Theater and the last of which is performed in Reynolds Theater, both located in the Bryan Center at Duke University. On occasion, Hoof 'n' Horn will produce a student-written show in homage to its roots, the last of which occurred in 2004, or a Children's Theater show (designed to be performed for the Durham, North Carolina Community), the last of which occurred in 2003.
