[edit] Henkjan Honing - article deleted - possible copyright violation
Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia: If you submitted work to Wikipedia which you had previously published (especially online), and your submission was marked as a potential infringement of copyright, stating that you are the copyright holder of the work on the article's talk page helps, but will not likely prevent deletion. It is sufficient to:
Make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL at the site of the original publication. Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation.
Or resubmit article in other words.--File Éireann 21:58, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for any inconvenience caused, but you just can't copy directly from a website without first proving to Wikipedia your right to do so. Thanks, and happy Wiki-ing!--File Éireann 22:01, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Christopher Longuet-Higgins
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your creation of the article, Christopher Longuet-Higgins, but we cannot accept copyrighted text borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Please see Wikipedia:Copyright problems for more information on this topic, or generally, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines. Please do not remove the copyright violation notice placed in the article or repost the suspected infringing text. However, if you would like to rewrite the article in your own words, follow the link in the posted notice to create a temporary subpage. If your new article is appropriate, and not a further copyright violation, the reviewing administrator will move that new article into place once the copyright status of the original has been resolved. Happy editing! —Caesura(t) 23:21, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I was not aware you had done this. I created the article on him a month ago using H. Christopher Longuet-Higgins, which is how he was listed at International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science. I have now created your link as a redirect. It would be nice if we could get a photograph of him. --Bduke 20:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Longuet-Higgins.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Longuet-Higgins.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
