The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (Traditional Chinese: 香港演藝學院), located near the north coast of Wan Chai on the Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong, is both an academic institution and a venue for performances ranging from amateur dramatics through to international professional appearances. Established in 1984, it is the only tertiary institution in the territory which provides professional education, training and research facilities in the performing arts, theatre technical arts, and film and television.
