Honda GL 650 In 1983 a more powerful version of the Silver Wing was born. The lighter version, the GL500 Silver Wing, was also still obtainable. The GL650'83 Silver Wing was sold in 1983 in one of two color schemes: Candy Wineberry Red with Bramble Red Metallic or Nimbus Gray Metallic with Achilles Black Metallic. The stripes on the red bike were red; but on the gray bike they were black. The "HONDA" and "SILVERWING" emblems were gold. The seat and trunk system had a modular design like the 1981 Honda GL500.Although the performance of the GL650 Silver Wing was much better than that of the GL500 Silver Wing this model did not last very long. Since 1984 the Silver Wing was more or less noiseless disappeared.
