Homestead Records

Homestead Records was a United States based record label of the 1920s. Apparently the records were pressed by the Scranton Button Company.

Homestead Records is also the name of a New York City based sublabel of Dutch East India Trading. It was founded in 1983 as a venue for experimental music and is considered instrumental in launching the noise rock genre. For a long time the label was managed by Gerard Cosloy, who signed many of the notable acts. He was succeeded by Ken Katkin and later by Steven Joerg.
