The school is twinned with the Holy Trinity is Christ The King Catholic Secondary school in Milton Ontario. The blueprints of this school are a reverse of Holy Trinity's.
The school offers academic programs for university bound students, applied programs for college bound students, and essential programs for the learning challenged, it is also a leader in apprenticship and workplace programs. The school offers various extra curricular activities including boys Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Soccer girls Field Hockey, Rugby, Cross Country, Track and Field, Baseball, Concert Band, a Jazz Band, a Debate Team, Chess, Computer Contests, and a Choir.
Holy Trinity was first built in 2002, containing a student body of Grade 9s to Grade 11s. Its first full class (those students who attended grades 9 through 12) graduated as the Class of 2006.
Everyone in Holy Trinity lives by the motto, "Treat your peers and teachers with equity, dignity and respect." (Aresta)
[edit] Feeder Schools
Elementary schools whose graduates are expected to come to Holy Trinity include St.John, Our Lady of Peace, St. Marguerite d'Youville, Holy Family, St.Michael and St. Andrews.
Holy Trinity holds multiple feeder school athletic tournaments throughout the year in sports including volleyball, basketball, and track and field. They also hold these tournaments for their fellow High Schools.
By the way, there is also the new and improved Skeet team, which includes power shots, long distance, rapid succession and endurance competitions. There is also a Cheer Team, which consists entirely of Grade 9&10 students. This has nothing at all to do with the culture festival.
[edit] Controversy
Throughout its short history, Holy Trinity has almost been lit ablaze (through a flaming bathroom stall incident), and has been victim to random acts of graffiti.
Holy Trinity was the subject of a prom prank in June of 2005. Students placed blowup dolls on the goal posts, duct taped the doors, and threw eggs at the school. It was Trinity's first major grad prank. The most recent was a spray paint on the North side of the school that said, "Fuck Trinity" and had the symbol for Hezbollah above it.
Recently Holy Trinity gained a new Vice Principal, Mr. Vince Aresta. He has been hated by many students, due to his strict nature and outlook on how a school is supposed to look. He has been booed in school assemblies, and his rules have been questioned by many students and teachers alike.
Everyone enjoys the novel "the dress code" read at the beginning of every civies day over the announcements by esteemed Vice Principle, Mr. Aresta, who believes blue is a gang colour. Mr. Aresta also has a very nice suit and a kick-ass tie.
