Suffolk has a long history dating back to Norman times when the famous "round tower" church was built by the Normans in the 11th century. Holton has its own primary school and pubs. Holton's full name is 'Holton St. Peter'. The post mill was restored and it's sails started working again in 1996. The approximate population of Holton is 1100. Nearby market town Halesworth (1 mile) has everything a tourist would require.
