Holly Aird

Holly Aird (born 18 May 1969) is a British actress. Having been discovered at the age of nine, Aird grew up around cameras and film sets. She went on to make a name for herself in Soldier Soldier and has since appeared in many TV shows and films.
She is now best known for playing workaholic tough nut Frankie Wharton in the popular BBC crime drama Waking the Dead.
Aird was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. She married in 2005, and gave birth to a daughter, Nelly. She also has a son, Joseph, by actor James Purefoy.
