Holly is a given name that has had both feminine and masculine use. The name derives from the name of the plant, from the Old English word holen. Alternate versions include; Hollie, Holli, Holy...etc.
The name Holly has also been used in concepts by both The Hold Steady on Separation Sunday and Yellowcard on Lights and Sounds.
