Complete name: Govt. Model Autonomous Holkar Science College. Holkar Science College is a prominent educational institute in Indore, M.P., India. Established in 1897, it stands among the oldest and most respected colleges in the state.It has been the birth place for many who have distinguished themselves in the fields of Mathematics and Science. The College boasts strong Chemistry and Physics departments. The institute receives funds from the state but is autonomous with regards to administration and conduct of examinations. Admission is restricted to students domicile to M.P. Well known for academic standards, it was recently termed "model" and a "Center for Excellence". The primary emphasis of the college remains undergraduate training till date.
It actually happens to be the first choice for students who want to go for their college education in the various fields of science and mathematics. usually students with first class grades ie above 60% marks are admitted here.In indore it is still believed that one who studies in holar science college is a scholar.
